The night of surgery, Dr. Doolabh
will probably tell you to start walking around, but to
avoid more strenuous activity for two weeks. Arm
movements against resistance or over 10 pounds are
limited, such as lifting, pushing, pulling or climbing
for 4-6 weeks. Any stitches will be removed in 10-14
days, and you should be able to return to work then
depending on the demands of your job. Like all scars,
yours will improve with time, growing flatter and
lighter in color over the course of the year following
surgery. |
